New Luxury Homes Come Online in… Hurst?

When you think of luxury million-dollar homes in the Mid-Cities, I bet Hurst doesn’t exactly come to mind, but that’s changing.

Toll Brothers just delivered Toll Brothers at Adkins Park, a new single-family residential community with homes starting at just under $1.09 million. Sitting just north of Little Bear Creek near the intersection of Precinct Line Road and Glade Road, the development is essentially a bridge to neighboring well-to-do Colleyville, where luxury homes are more the standard than the exception.

“Homeowners will enjoy the great location, distinctive architecture … and the unrivaled choice and personalization that Toll Brothers offers through our Design Studio experience,” said Jay Saunders, division president of Toll Brothers in D-FW, in a statement to CandysDirt.com.

Adkins Park homes will definitely be coming in on the higher end of the city’s housing market, which currently has a median sale price of $374,250, according to RedFin.

A million-dollar listing price comes at a challenging time for some big builders who are currently motivated to get inventory off their balance sheets amid the economic uncertainty surrounding President Donald Trump’s tariff-fueled trade policy, industry professionals have told CandysDirt.com. The Wall Street Journal reported that home builders are stepping up their use of buyer incentives this spring buying season.

Prospective homebuyers certainly didn’t get any help from the Federal Reserve on Wednesday, with chairman Jerome Powell announcing the central bank was standing pat on the benchmark interest rate, which lenders use to determine market rate on products like mortgages.

Still, Toll Brothers may attract buyers who are moving on up (so to speak) but can’t quite afford to live in Colleyville proper where the median home price is $1.2 million. And there are some good reasons to scoop up one of these homes. Saunders highlighted the relatively quick drive to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the top-rated Keller ISD schools the neighborhood is zoned for.

Being zoned for Keller ISD, which recently scored an overall B ranking from Texas Education Agency, is a big plus for prospective homebuyers with children, but Toll Brothers at Adkins Park also appears to be catering to those with active lifestyles. The company is touting its proximity to Cotton Belt Trail, an accessible stretch of which spans miles for hiking and biking between North Richland Hills and Grapevine.

One- and two-story homes with four to six bedrooms are on offer. Options range from 3,089 to more than 4,900 square feet, with six open-concept floor plans to choose from. Toll Brothers isn’t the only game in town, though. Britton Homes has luxury offerings available in Adkins Park as well.
