New homes being built in small city

WYKOFF, Minn.-Residents of Wykoff will be seeing the addition of a new neighborhood to town. Mundfrom Builders is building several new homes north of Wykoff Commons.

Mundfrom Builders co-owner Tiffany Mundfrom says, “We’re building a subdivision it’s four townhome buildings so eight actual homes and then five single family homes in the end of the cul de sac.”

The hope is that the homes will support the need for smaller homes in town for residents looking to downsize.

“We saw a need or a lot of people talking about there’s people that want to stay in Wykoff but maybe downsize their homes,” Mundfrom said.

As older residents downsize, it will open up the opportunity for more younger families to move to the small town. Currently, there’s been some good feedback from residents over the new construction.

She says, “I think so, there’s been a lot more positive feedback now. People are excited to see now that the streets in and utilities going in today and just excited to see what the homes are going to look like I think.”

The development will be called ‘Diamond Court‘, in honor and reference to the old softball field that used to be there.

Once built, the twin homes will cost around $340,000. The goal is for the homes to be built by next spring.
