Homebuyers in Lancaster County and beyond continue to face challenges in 2024. The inventory of resale homes remains tight, especially as potential sellers hesitate to put their homes on the market and give up their locked-in low interest rates.

The good news? There is another option for buyers who can’t or simply don’t want to wait for a viable home to come on the market.

Meadows at Strasburg

This community of single-family homes in the heart of Amish country offers 12 home plans from 1,300 to 2,600 square feet, making it easy for buyers to find just the right size for their lifestyle. One- and two-story options are available, including some with first-floor owner’s suites.

Several sites are available in phase 2, in the center of the neighborhood, as well as select sites in phase 3 that back up to farmland.

A quick move-in Rockford Classic is currently available. The four-bedroom home at 68 Old Orchard Road, Strasburg, features a Cape Cod-inspired interior design and over 1,700 square feet of living space. The home is priced at $504,940.

Meadows at Strasburg is in the Lampeter-Strasburg School District. Home prices start in the upper $300s.

Lititz Reserve

This well-established neighborhood of luxury townhomes offers four home plans in a convenient location adjacent to Lititz Public Library and within walking distance of the town’s quaint shops, restaurants and more.

Lititz Reserve also offers common areas, pocket parks, pristine landscaping, streetlights and sidewalks, and walking trails.

Lititz Reserve is in the Warwick School District. Home prices start in the mid-$400s.

Warwick Crossing

Warwick Crossing offers single-family and carriage homes in a mix of floor plans to suit a variety of lifestyles, from growing families to those looking to downsize to one-story living.

The community is conveniently located near downtown Lititz, The Shoppes at Kissel Hill Village and UPMC Lititz Hospital. Amenities include a community pavilion, common open spaces, streetlights and sidewalks, and a future walking trail connecting to the rail trail system.

A quick move-in single-family Glen Mary Classic is currently available. The four-bedroom home at 316 Windmill Way, Lititz, includes a gas fireplace, reading nook, patio and over 2,800 square feet of living space. The home is priced at $662,210.

Warwick Crossing also has four shell carriage homes with opportunities to move in by Christmas, as well as three unique opportunities to build a custom home at the edge of the neighborhood.

Parkside

This community of 115 single-family homes in Manheim Township offers 16 floor plans, including larger options up to 4,400 square feet, on home sites averaging just over a quarter acre. One- and two-story options are available.

The neighborhood is adjacent to Manheim Township Community Park and offers convenient access to routes 501 and 30 for an easy drive to Lititz and downtown Lancaster.

Currently, buyers can take advantage of a $30,000 savings on the final two home sites in phase 1 of Parkside when they use EGStoltzfus’ preferred lender.

Brooklawn II

Several of the 23 home sites in this new EGStoltzfus Custom Homes neighborhood are already reserved. Buyers are welcome to bring their own plan, choose from an EGStoltzfus Signature Plan or work with the EGStoltzfus design-build team to create a plan.
